Future Ready Quarterly Gathering
Join us at our next Future Ready Quarterly Gathering in Birmingham! The theme for the Birmingham event will centre around Sustaining the Transition - Stage 5 of the Net Zero Living journey.
Day 1, Tuesday 13th May: The Future Ready team will be hosting a collaborative ‘Hackathon’ to get our heads together on the components of navigating local net zero delivery. This will be followed by our usual social evening. Further details will be shared in the coming weeks!
Day 2, Wednesday 14th May: The full-day event will include our much-loved project showcases, inspiration bites, TAP training and a storytelling workshop on how to promote your place’s net zero delivery.

Strengthening skills for a net zero future
We need to have the right skills in the right place at the right time. This is one aspect of sustaining the transition to a net zero future.
Join this monthly meetup’s debate on solutions for tackling green skills deficits in local supply chains and within local authority organisations. Building on insights already shared through the Net Zero Living community of practice, breakout discussions will explore project-level ideas for how to equip the local workforce with the skills necessary to support the transition to net zero and how to work within local authorities to boost internal skills and capacities.
Discussions will inform how the programme shapes technical assistance support to help foster supportive local environments for the changes necessary to meet current and future skills needs.
