Citizen Visioning, Involve
During August's Future Ready Thursday, Involve, the Technical Assistance Partner for Citizen Engagement and Visioning, will be hosting a workshop on Citizen Visioning. This will be an interactive session, in which we will collectively explore how to engage citizens to create compelling visions of the future, and why this process can benefit your net-zero plans.
During the session we’ll explore what we mean when we think about the future, and some common pitfalls to avoid. We’ll then explore a simple process for helping a group of citizens create compelling and inspiring visions of the future based on the assets and capabilities of their local community.

Diagnosing your Technical Assistance
Thank you to all those who have taken part in the technical assistance diagnostic process. The Technical Assistance Partners are now in the process of analysing the results on a project by project basis.
The results from the diagnostic process will inform their individual and collective approach to in-person and online workshops, 1-2-1 support, and also how their involvement could feed into collective activities such as the cohort-led thematic working groups.
A prioritisation of challenges exercise is being completed for each project, and TAPs are currently designing your initial packages of support. Each project has been allocated a lead TAP contact, who will kick-off the next stage of the process and guide you through the next few months of support. Your project’s lead TAP contact will be in touch directly in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for this dropping into your inbox!

DESNZ WEBINAR / ALL FUTURENOUGHTS

Overview of the DESNZ Local Net Zero Accelerator programme
In this session you will learn about the Local Net Zero Accelerator (LNZA) programme, which is running alongside Net Zero Living.
The LNZA is supporting three Combined Authority Pilots in developing ambitious decarbonisation programmes, and exploring ways to partner with the private sector and leverage commercial investment in pursuit of net zero. The programme is also piloting a Finance Support Service, which could later be rolled out for all local authorities.
This session will explain the resources that will become available from LNZA over the next 18 months, including a new Dynamic Purchasing System for advisory services to enable net zero investment.
