Futurenoughts will be meeting in the The Town Wall pub in Newcastle from 6pm.

Interactive sessions will delve deeper into the themes explored at recent online meetups. This will cover how to inspire local action, develop compelling business cases, and influence internal stakeholders.
You'll tour Newcastle Helix, a state of the art innovation district that's dedicated to helping us all live better lives.
A showcase of local solutions to non-technical barriers will highlight wider experiences from North East England.

1 / The Catalyst
The Future Ready gathering will take place at The Catalyst, an award-winning £44 million building that was co-funded by UKRI.
As well as being the home to Urban Foresight’s team in Newcastle, it also houses three national innovation centres: data, ageing, and rural enterprise.

2 / Urban Sciences Building
The Urban Sciences Building is equipped with more than 4,000 sensors. This provides high resolution data about the environmental, mechanical and electrical performance of the building.
The building is also home to the Urban Observatory, which is the largest set of publicly available real time urban data in the UK.

3 / National Green Infrastructure Facility
The National Green Infrastructure Facility is the UK’s largest testbed for sustainable drainage systems.
The £10 million facility is providing a blueprint for how cities can be designed to reduce the risk of flooding.

4 / Living wall
The 27 metre living wall on The Core is one of the tallest in the UK.
It’s irrigated with harvested rainwater and is also home to bee hotels.

5 / District energy centre
The £20 million District Energy Centre provides affordable heating and cooling to the 24-acre Newcastle Helix site.
The centre is expected to achieve a carbon emission saving of 30,650 tonnes over 40 years.
